What Is HSRP?
HSRP stands for High Security Registration Plate. It is not a normal metal number plate sold by local shops. These rates were reported along with the state’s zone-wise implementation system.
How to Book HSRP Online in Maharashtra
Vehicle owners should book only through the official Maharashtra Transport Department HSRP page. The official portal asks users to select their RTO office, such as MH01 Mumbai Central, MH02 Mumbai West, MH12 Pune, MH15 Nashik, MH31 Nagpur Urban, MH40 Nagpur Rural, MH46 Panvel and other Maharashtra RTO codes.
Steps to Follow
- Open the Maharashtra Transport Department HSRP booking page.
- Select your RTO office from the zone-wise list.
- Enter vehicle registration details carefully.
- Choose an available appointment slot.
- Pay the official fee and save the receipt.
- Visit the assigned fitment location on time.
Do not rely on roadside agents or unofficial plate sellers. Maharashtra’s transport minister has also advised owners to use the official website and avoid unauthorized persons.

Owners who booked an authorized HSRP installation appointment before the deadline may get temporary relief from enforcement action, according to the Times of India report. Keep your booking receipt, payment confirmation, and appointment message ready while driving until the plate is installed.
